Curtain Calculator
Stack Back, and Weight
We created 2 different stackback calculators. The first one is to determine the rod/track width depending on the window width if you want to clear the entire window when the curtains are drawn the to sides, and the second one to figure out the stackback width given the track width. The second calculator (stack back) is more precise.
Calculate Rod Width
This calculation is providing an estimated rod width given the window width, to have the entire windows uncovered when the drapes are drawn open fully.
*Please note that the calculation of the stack back width is only an estimate, stack back can fluctuate depends on factors such as puddling, fabrics, lining options, curtain rods, brackets, and rings.*
Single Panel
One single panel of fabric to cover the entire width
Pair
Two equal panels (1 left, 1 right).
For French Pleat and Tailored Pleat - Please enter the coverage width, 2 times fullness is included for Double Pleats, 2.5 times fullness is included for Triple Pleats.
For Ripple Fold - Measure the total width of the area you'd like to cover. It usually equals to the total width of the hardware. This should be the width of your track. We recommend extending the track out on each side from the edge of the window to make the area appear larger and to allow more light in when fully open.
Calculate Stack Back
Stack back is the amount of space the curtains occupy when in the fully open position.
*Please note that the calculation of the stack back width is only an estimate, stack back can fluctuate depends on factors such as puddling, fabrics, lining options, curtain rods, brackets, and rings.*
For Grommet and Rod Pocket - Please enter the fabric width, 2 to 2.5 times fullness recommended.

Single Panel
One single panel of fabric to cover the entire width
Pair
Two equal panels (1 left, 1 right); the total width coverage you specify will be automatically divided in 2.
Calculate Weight
Calculate the weight per panel (for ripplefold, weight per coverage width, number of panel does not matter, hardware weight not included)
For Grommet and Rod Pocket - Please enter the fabric width, 2 to 2.5 times fullness recommended.
For French Pleat and Tailored Pleat - Please enter the coverage width, 2 times fullness is included for Double Pleats, 2.5 times fullness is included for Triple Pleats.

Curtain fullness refers to how many ripples or folds are present when the curtain is closed.
120% fullness: fabric width = 2.3 x the coverage width
100% fullness: fabric width = 2.1 x the coverage width
80% fullness: fabric width = 1.8 x the coverage width
60% fullness: fabric width = 1.6 x the coverage width
